Katie Plitt, Creative Design Leader

Katie is a textile designer, graphic artist, and illustrator who cannot remember a time when she was not captivated by fashion and design. At a young age, she left her home state of Wisconsin to pursue a career in art and design, traveling to New York City to attend the prestigious Parsons School of Design.

Following graduation, she joined one of the world’s most prominent fashion brands, where she spent two decades creating original textile patterns and graphic designs for many licensed categories while learning the business behind the glamour.

In 2017, she fulfilled a longtime dream when she partnered with Kenya-based Victoria Dadet-Nganga to launch ANASA. Their ethical, sustainable luxury resort wear, accessories, and home design brand embodied their love of travel, fashion, artisanal craftsmanship, and social responsibility. The brand concluded operations in 2022 due to global supply chain challenges driven by the pandemic, but its ethos remains central to her creative approach.

She joined Magnetic Me, a sustainable children’s clothing line, in 2022 and has been enhancing visual storytelling, coordinating global campaigns, and streamlining creative processes to align with the brand’s eco-friendly vision.

Over the years, Katie has pursued many entrepreneurial creative endeavors, including a fabric line, a children’s television show pilot, and illustrations that have been featured in magazines all around the world. The mother of two teenage boys, Katie is passionate about making things, great design, travel, animals, and exploring and experiencing new cultures.
